Job description of environmental health expert:

  • Coordinating and taking action to form a committee for environmental health and infection control of the hospital and active participation in it and following the relevant resolutions
  • Preparing and compiling educational materials and organizing training sessions related to environmental health and public health for the personnel of different categories
  • Request a medical examination card, labor examination card and public health education certificate for law enforcement personnel
  • Investigate the status of water used by the hospital (public network, private network) and file a case
  • Sanitary control of water consumption in terms of quantity and quality and periodic microbial, chemical and chlorination tests based on existing instructions, standards and conditions
  • Supervision, inspection and health control of all different stages of collection, separation, transfer, temporary storage and disposal of hospital waste, as well as preventing the sale and recycling of hospital waste
  • Supervision and health control on how to dispose of hospital wastewater and, if there is a problem, provide appropriate executive proposals
  • Sampling the effluent of the wastewater treatment system in accordance with the announced instructions (if there is a treatment plant) in order to check the quality of wastewater treatment

  • Supervision and intervention in the preparation and use of disinfectants and hospital cleaners

  • Checking the technical and hygienic condition of the air conditioning system in the hospital (heating, cooling) and following up to solve possible problems
